2016 turned out a turbulent year – ZONA NORTE traveling on the international festival circuit, whereas the summer was spent in hospital and rehab – jury duty at Copenhagen & more festivals. At Berlinale 2017 yours truly won the special Teddy for lifetime achievement – soon to be followed by winning another lifetime achievement award at TLVfest in June. Meanwhile our German distribution company, Salzgeber Medien, is digitizing more of our films on DCP and retrospectives could be held at the Bern Queer filmfestival and in Tel Aviv.
