Monika will participate in an International Symposium at National Taiwan University, Taipei, on June 28th and 29th, on „Culture Diversity under Interantional Trade Regime: Policy and Practices“. She’ll be reporting from her experiences as a pioneer in co-producing films between Germany and Taiwan: „the pleasures and headaches of intercultural filmproductions“.

 The Symposium is followed by ARTE IN TAIWAN, a joint project of the Taiwan Public TV PTS, the French Institute in Taipei and the German Cultural Centre Taipei. A delegation of 4 representatives of ARTE will travel to TAIWAN on Friday June 29 2007, for a week-end program. They will hold a press conference showing the special partnership between PTS and ARTE and a round-table at the art house movie theatre SPOT about International Co-production of features, and Cultural Channel prospects in the coming years.
